Q2 Metals

In mineral exploration, professionally documenting your project equips your team with visual assets to tell your story to a level of detail that is unique in this industry.  When visuals not only capture the technical work of exploration but also help generate excitement around the project, real value can be found. The industry has lacked a provider of top tier visual assets that can help teams communicate the significance of their work, this is why Elemental Imagery was created.

Q2 Metals, a rapidly growing player in the Canadian mineral exploration industry needed to elevate the quality of their visual media. They sought to move away from basic imagery, like those captured on smartphones, to stand out with professional-grade content that mirrored the quality of their operations first at Mia and now with full attention on the Cisco Lithium Project. Over the past three years we have worked with Q2 Metals to engage investors and tell their story.

Collaboration

For each assignment, Elemental Imagery stepped in with a tailor-made service that brought a high level of expertise, technical knowledge, and an award-winning eye to Q2 Metals’ doorstep. As Q2 grew, Elemental Imagery was there, adding value for investors who were closely watching these projects.

Coordination was key in delivering quality visuals. Regular online consultations before each shoot ensured that imagery and interviews clearly presented the key areas of interest to investors while supporting reports and press releases.

Production schedules were developed and easily adapted to changing conditions which are common in exploration environments. By coordinating closely with technical leadership and on-site crews, visual documentation was integrated into active operations without disruption—allowing progress to be captured accurately as it unfolded.

Production

Each site visit was captured using professional-grade cameras, audio equipment, and drones. Aerial footage provided spatial context and scale, while ground-level imagery and interviews offered insight into day-to-day execution and technical decision-making. We focused on capturing clear visuals that reflected the progress being made on the projects including exploration activities, core processing, infrastructure, and team interactions.

On-site interviews with technical and leadership personnel provided firsthand knowledge of the project. Each shoot included new interviews providing additional insight into the status of the projects and any variables or milestones in motion which investors would have interest in. these updates on progress, challenges, and next steps gave investors a genuine connection to both the real-world operations and the team leading the project forward.

Working alongside Q2’s team, contracted geologists, drillers, and helicopter pilots, Elemental Imagery ensured the perfect shots were taken while maintaining safety and logistical precision, especially with drones operated under an Advanced Drone Pilot license. Given the sensitive nature of drone footage in such environments, particular attention was paid to positioning and timing—especially with the ongoing presence of helicopters.

Integration

Building a library of top tier visuals has been pivotal in enhancing Q2 Metals’ image and in supporting their team in any media, marketing or investors facing initiatives. The elevated site documentation provided a new perspective for investors with professional insight in the field. All the information collected and distributed was accurate and in line with any disclosure practices of Q2 Metals.

The interviews performed incredibly well to provide valuable information about the technical, financial and exploratory aspects of the project that built context around reports for investors. These visuals combined with expert insights conveyed professionalism, transparency, and capability—helping Q2 stand apart in an industry where many companies still rely on less polished imagery.

Q2's team has been able to reignite conversations to extend the lifespan of key announcements and maintain visibility during quieter periods. Consistent documentation allowed momentum from new updates to build on previous context rather than restarting the story with each release.

By integrating these assets within their workflow, the visual documentation functions as a long-term support tool—reinforcing their teams communication to investors as the project continues to advance.

Feedback from Q2’s leadership, including the CEO, Alicia Milne, and Head of Corporate Communications, Jason McBride, has been overwhelmingly positive. Success on their Cisco Lithium Project has been accompanied by standout visuals which set them apart from competitors, helping to maintain and advance conversations about the future.
